Even though the police controlled the drug trade, the dealers that supplied the streets had been secretly meeting without the Black Badges knowledge for years. A boss had been appointed from the east coast, the west coast, the Midwest, and down south. The two members that represented the Midwest were Big Ted and Ace.

After they successfully took out Wiz and The Money Team, they were the only two left in power. Big Ted had ran the gang that was The Money Team’s rivals called The Money Mob, and Ace was the underboss in The Money Team. Once Big Ted got plugged with the Black Badge, he reached out to the leader of The Money Team, who was Wiz in order to combine the two gangs.

Wiz wasn’t trying to get a new plug since he was plugged with La Familia at the time, and loyal to them. Ace wasn’t as stubborn as Wiz and him and Big Ted quickly made a deal behind Wiz’s back that would leave Wiz and his whole family dead. Big Ted and Ace thought it was a good move at the time, but they didn’t realize they were making a deal with the devil.

Once The Money Team and La Familia was out the way, Ace and Big Ted merged together and took reign over the city’s drug trade. Things were good at first; they could move drugs with no police resistance, not realizing they were getting too comfortable. The Black Badge was like a disease that went unnoticed until it was too late to find a cure.

They let the gang get relaxed then they went hard on them like a pimp breaking his bitch. They began arresting the same dealers that worked for them, letting them know who the real boss in the city was. The Black Badge went from just being the supplier and protection to taking over the gang and making Big Ted and Ace into puppets on a string.

It was hard for Big Ted and Ace to hide anything, especially since everyone was snitching on somebody, trying to keep their head above water with the Black Badge. Once they hooked up with the other bosses and found out they had went through the same thing, they all knew they had been had.

Now for the last few years, they had been meeting in discreet locations trying to figure out how to get free from the grasp of the Black Badge. The men had monthly meetings, which were supposed to come up with a plan, but usually turned into a night of drinking, gambling, and complaining about the current situation, and tonight they had planned to do the same.

They had just made it to the door of the luxury penthouse they had rented for business, after having an expensive dinner that had a bill well over one thousand dollars. The five men were festive, laughing at jokes as they entered the penthouse. The laughter only lasted long enough for the men to walk into the living room.
